Exclamation Fedora 12 64bit super slow/almost hangs after resuming from suspend or screensaver

Hi All,

I have a HP G60 Laptop on which is installed Fedora 12 64 bit (x86_64, Constantine). (as the second operating system sharing the harddisk with a Windows 7 sitting on another promary partition.)

My problem is this: Whenever I resume a session after suspend (after laptop lid is closed and opened) or when I try to login from a screen lock when the screensaver has been on for a while, I get back into the session and find that the system is very very slow, almost like the system is hung! The only way I can get back to normal is by rebooting or typing at the command line "pkill -KILL -u <myself>" so that I re-login into a new session.

What could I do to fix this problem?

Thanks,

Tweak.

Question Re: Fedora 12 64bit super slow/almost hangs after resuming from suspend or screensave

This may not be much help, but it's something to try until someone else can offer better assistance. Do you notice any difference in this behavior if you have the AC cord plugged in, as opposed to running only on battery?

No, there is no difference in behaviour between running under AC or battery power. The same happens!

Well, today I upgraded to Fedora 14, and suspend and resume seems to be working fine so far.

Thanks!

I would suggest that you open a new topic for you new problem. It doesn't make much sense and is irritating for readers if you mix different topics which relate to different Fedora versions.
