Having trouble removing applications.

I installed fedora 2 with EVERYTHING selected because i wanted to get a chance to look at everything. Now i realize that alot of it is useless... and i'm trying to remove it using the application under "system settings".

However, when i select a bunch of things to remove, i get all these "packages not found" problems which is complete BS because i never uninstalled/deleted anything and i barely even used fedora. Is this program buggy ? Or am i not realizing something.

Let me know what i can do to make this process smoother.

Thanks

The add/remove packages script might be buggy. Use yum, apt or rpm instead. They could be a better way of uninstalling your apps.

is there a quick way to remove stuff?

for instance, i want to remove everything under "developement", except for the basic "developement tools" (i want to get rid of KDE/GNOME/etc developement tools). Do i have to go through EACH LITTLE thing and remove it one by one?

The Add/Remove Programs tool is the best for removing whole categories, unfortunately.

Synaptic, the frontend to the apt software tool sorts by category. It would be the second easiest in removing a lot of things.
