I have a problem with ATI Mobility X600 card similar to
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=253664
The result is that it is impossible to set "Desktop effects" and googleearth
pops a message that 'OpenGL' is in emulation mode (very slow)
The main difference with thread 253664 is that it occurs after a fresh FC14 install.
My system is a notebook HP pavilion zd7380.
On this system I previously installed fresh FC12 and FC13
without any problems
and with
no additional configuration/drivers.
I noticed in the Xorg.0.log the following error that makes me think the problem is here:
On FC14:
[ 34.237] (II) SELinux: Disabled by boolean
[ 34.264] (EE) AIGLX error: Calling driver entry point failed
[ 34.264] (EE) AIGLX: reverting to software rendering
[ 34.264] (II) AIGLX: Screen 0 is not DRI capable
[ 34.265] (II) AIGLX: Loaded and initialized /usr/lib/dri/swrast_dri.so
[ 34.265] (II) GLX: Initialized DRISWRAST GL provider for screen 0
While on the other hand on the same system running FC12/FC13:
[ 22.901] (II) SELinux: Disabled on system
[ 23.016] (II) AIGLX: enabled GLX_MESA_copy_sub_buffer
[ 23.016] (II) AIGLX: enabled GLX_INTEL_swap_event
[ 23.016] (II) AIGLX: enabled GLX_SGI_make_current_read
[ 23.016] (II) AIGLX: GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap backed by buffer objects
[ 23.017] (II) AIGLX: Loaded and initialized /usr/lib/dri/r300_dri.so
[ 23.017] (II) GLX: Initialized DRI2 GL provider for screen 0
Found many problems with Ati cards on forum, but no real applicable solution(s)
I'm including various log files and output commands to:

Thanks in advance.
