I can not get gedit to open when logged in as root.
Instead I get the error messages:
** (gedit:3403): WARNING **: AT-SPI: Accessibility bus not found - Using session bus.
** (gedit:3403): WARNING **: AT-SPI: Couldn't connect to bus: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
(gedit:3403): EggSMClient-WARNING **: Failed to connect to the session manager: None of the authentication protocols specified are supported
**
GLib-GIO:ERROR:gdbusconnection.c:2170:initable_init: assertion failed: (connection->initialization_error == NULL)
Aborted (core dumped)
I have similar problems when I enter the command gnome-terminal as root.
Does anyone know how to fix this ?
Thanks,
