I wanted to install fedora 14 beta so I got the Live CD but my computer is too slow for it, the login window loaded after a while but no luck with the desktop.
Last time I had the same issue and just installed from the DVD but this time around I was wondering, is there a way to launch the installer from the Live CD without having to go on Live mode
Press the Tab key at the boot menu and enter liveinst at the end of the kernel command line. Boot.
It seems what you say works. Still the installer was unable to start for me, it showed some errors about bad sectors on the hard drive and was unable to mount but that's another matter so... thanks for the solution, gonna try it some other time after I see what I do with the hd issue.
