Fedora Is not running!

after i install fedora i get a pop up window telling me that the installation is complete, when i reboot the computer it doesn't boot fedora it just keep restarting.

is it a hardware compatibility issue, i did the same installation steps on my laptop and it worked just fine but whenever i try to do it in my desktop it doesn't work.

I am fedora noob user;
please inform me if anything was unclear;
thanks in advance;

Re: Fedora Is not running!

Most likely the boot manager was not installed. Research booting from the install DVD and running rescue mode to reinstall the boot loader.

Re: Fedora Is not running!

What version of Fedora? I had that happen with a Fedora 13 livecd on my laptop, so I (re)installed Fedora 12 instead. Since the laptop is pretty old I figured the newer kernel just wasn't going to work on the old hardware.

How did you install, using the dvd or livecd? There are probably threads about it, but I'm not sure what the best search term would be. Since it may well be hardware related, what are the specs on your hardware?
