The mouse button locks :(

Hey, there, good people of fedoraforum.org!

I downloaded Fedora 13 (x86_64) just two or three days ago, and installed it in VMWare Workstation. The problem that I am having is that the OS will randomly think that I am holding down the left mouse button, which I am clearly not.

I only installed the base system (development pack), and did not add any of ther other repositories.

I would really like to be able to use Fedora 13, and not just have it sitting there on my HDD, and also use it as a server operating system (because of the configuration tools)

Re: The mouse button locks :(

I guess you don't have this problem in Windows? There are probably at least two possibilities:
- VMWare
- Fedora

To rule out one or the other, you could try a Fedora liveCD directly on your hardware (it won't do any harm) and see if the mouse problem persists. That would be the easiest test.
You could also try to install Fedora in VirtualBox. I had Fedora running in VirtualBox on several occasions and never saw a problem like this.

Tell the cat not to chase the mouse and leave it alone

Very strange problem. I've used Fedora in VirtualBox and Vmware and I never noticed such kind of behaviour. Well look at the bright side. F14 cannot be installed at all on virtualisation software, so case solved

Re: The mouse button locks :(

I probably should've replied earlier, but I already have installed the 32-bit version of Fedora 13, and it works like a charm I have installed the applications that I want right now, and I am wondering about installing Fedora on my laptop and on a new server if I can get my hands on a new box. I'm guessing the 64-bit version is kinda buggy still?
