fedora 13 on usb drive

I installed fedora 13 on my usb drive. I updated all. on rebooting, it shows an error message:

kernel panic unable to mount

how to restore this usb drive

Maybe in the meantime, you plugged in (or unplugged) something else that changed the enumeration of the drive and forgot about it (e.g., a pen drive, a card in a card reader, another USB drive, etc.).
