xfce Terminal + nouveau = 100% cpu ?
Is someone else having the problem, that the xfce terminal emulator (Terminal-0.4.5-2.fc14.x86_64) gets the cpu to 100%? This is happening whenver I am using htop, but also other terminal applications bring my CPU to uncomfortably high usage levels. For example su -c "cat /var/log/messages" causes this effect, even _after_ the command has finished executing. So far I can say:
- the larger the Terminal window, the higher the CPU usage
- the more output you have in the Terminal window, the higher the CPU usage
However, the process causing my CPU usage to go up that high is neither Terminal nor htop. It is Xorg. Since this is not happening on my notebook (where I am using the nvidia driver) I guess this is nouveaus fault. Can someone who is using nouveau test this please? Or maybe any ideas what I can do to prevent this?
