Question How to install a Debian tuned kernel on Fedora

Hello,

I want to install a kernel tuned for Debian on Fedora or vice versa.
I just want to know if anyone have had such an experience or any idea about it.

Thanks

Re: How to install a Debian tuned kernel on Fedora

What do you mean by tuned? The kernel in the repos is designed to work with Fedora. You could build one from source, which would not only allow you to configure it according to your requirements, but also to those of your hardware.

You need to build a custom Fedora kernel, use the following guide.

http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Docs/CustomKernel

Just add the debian options.

Thumbs up Re: How to install a Debian tuned kernel on Fedora

@YeOK: at first i wanted to do it in that way but i could'nt manage, i even tried to convert the .deb kernel with alien to .rpm but it wasn't possible.

@kurtdriver: i meaned the changes done to the original kernel and as you mentioned i build it from it's source and finally i could run it.
