F13 WiFi Problem (Unsecured Networks)

Hello all, I have been having a small problem with my WiFi lately, but it's only for unsecured networks. I seem to continuously drop the connection, over and over and over and over again. BUT it only does this for some unsecured networks. I've had problems at school (school wide wifi and you login through the web browser) and problems at hotels as well. It stays connected for about 2 minutes then drops it and reconnects (if I have the auto connect box checked). I don't have any problems with secured networks though (such as when I get home).

I'm currently running Fedora 13 with KDE on my studio xps 16 with an intel 5150 wifi card. I recently had to reinstall 13 and I didn't have this problem before. I'm using wicd to manage my network connections but I had the same problem with network manager. I've switched into GNOME and have the same problem. It makes it VERY difficult to do online assignments when the internet connection constantly cuts in and out.

I don't even know where to start as to fixing this so any help is much appreciated!

Ryan

Re: F13 WiFi Problem (Unsecured Networks)

Well, I switched back to NetworkManager and I'm still having some problems...at least now it will reconnect on its own and holds the connection for a few extra minutes. Still having a hell of a time with the school's WiFi. Anyone have any advice?
