2 HDMI problems

Hello,

I installed Fedora yesterday, so I'm completely new to linux. I managed to get a couple of programs as VLC to watch films.

But the problems starts here:

When I connect my laptop to my hdtv, I only see my background image. I fix that by going to Monitor Preferences and than select my tv screen and set "Same image in all monitors" on. I see my laptop screen, but it doesn't fit. I can't see my menu bars and at the right and left there are missing some pixels. How can I fix that?

Secondly I don't get the audo working. I remember from Windows 7 that I had to switch to digital audio in Sound options. I went to sound -> hardware and than switched trough all profiles, but none played audo on my tv speakers. How can I fix that?

Thank you very much
