how do I setup my httpd.conf file in Fedora Core 2
so that, instead of using http://www.domain.com/~username
it will use:
instead? and username.domain.com will still point to
/home/username/public_html on the hard drive.
I've been trying to google search this subject for a long time now,
but so far have yet to come up with anything that works.
closest I could find, were some instructions on how to do it in Apache 1.3,
setting up virtual hosts,
but I tried those in Apache 2 and couldn't get it to work.
somebody else told me they couldn't get it to work either in 2.0,
does anyone have an idea on how to do this in 2.0?
I want to do it so *.domain.com
will point to /home/*/public_html
not just a set of subdomains individually in virtual host section.
