Does anyone else get a bunch of errors when doing this install??

For example:

error: rpmts_HdrFromFdno: headerRead failed: hdr blob(2197440): BAD, read returned 52432

seems to be related to the mirror. Have you tried another one: http://fedorafaq.org/#installsoftware ?

But how do I choose a different mirror if I'm just installing from the command line?

You have to edit the /etc/yum.conf file. As a sample you can use the one given in the FAQ ( http://fedorafaq.org/samples/yum.conf ). It will be also faster, than using the official servers.

Ok, I'll give it a shot.

Would this be one of the reasons my ATI driver install did not work? because the sourcecode install didn't finish completely?

It ran some test at the end and said it passed... whatever that means.
