This somewhat correlates to the Jack/ Bit Perfect Audio posting in the Software forums, but how would I configure Fedora 13 to use the combo optical/line out on my Macbook Unibody? I am specifically looking for the optical out feature, normal sound works great
If you use PulseAudio, go to the "Sound Preferences" window by right clicking its icon in the top panel then switch to "Hardware" tab. Choose a device to configure (this should be your sound card) and then choose the profile that uses "digital" output. This works for me for my PC.
