I have 3 problems with USB storage in F13

I use Fedora 13 AMD 64 and I use Gnome and some application of KDE like K3B.
after install Fedora 13 , when I plug OCZ USB flash 8 GB , Fedora detect it and I can see content of USB and I can use it and I can copy or move files , but I have these problem

1- speed of copy and move are very low and move speed sometimes is 8MB , I do not have this problem with Fedora 12 and speed of move was 28MB per second ,

2- sometimes when I want copy or move file by use GUI like natiluse , system crash and system reset and I can not do anything and I have to unplug USB storage or USB Flash . but I do not have this problem in command line and copy or move files with MC and everything is OK

3- when I right click on USB flash and USB storage on Desktop and choose safely remove option , for moment LED of Flash turn off and after that turn ON and new windows open and I can see content of USB Flash , I must close this windows and choose safely remove option again , after this LED of Flash turn off and I can remove flash
I think my flash has problem , so I change it with new one , but I have this problem again.
I test another flash , this problem happen again .
I do not have this problem with Fedora 12 and Windows and FreeBSD , and I have this problem only with Fedora 13

That speed measurement may not be very accurate for smaller files. Reason is that there is a buffer sitting in the middle, and it measures the speed that data rolls into the buffer. They may have adjusted this for F13. I've seen stupid things in F12, like a class 2 uSD card sucking data at close to 50 MB/s -- it obviously isn't that fast.

Have you updated your install to latest? Might be a bug that has since been worked out.

Re: I have 3 problems with USB storage in F13

I'm having the same problem mfaridi mentioned as his third point: after using "Safely remove drive" the drive unmounts, shuts off, then automatically spins up again and is mounted for a second time as well. Using "Safely remove drive" for the second time does the job. This is a problem for harddisks, because they needlessly spin up for a second time.

I've updated this morning (yum clean all && yum update, and rebooted), but to no avail.

Re: I have 3 problems with USB storage in F13

Has there been any progress toward fixing this? It is quite annoying. I resort to using the eject command to unmount USB stick and then removing it as safely remove does not power it down like it used to and it automatically remounts. This happens no matter how many times I select the option to "safely remove" it.

Re: I have 3 problems with USB storage in F13

I've also been seeing this problem. Has anyone filed a Bugzilla? I don't use usb storage very often, but have gotten used to hitting "Safely remove drive", then, pulling out the usb cord before the remounting starts.
