Laptop Battery.

How do I check the state and health of the laptop battery. In Ubuntu it was just a simple task of clicking on the battery icon on the task bar and your info would come up. With Fedora 13 nothing happens..

Re: Laptop Battery.

Hovering over the Power Manager systray icon gives you the most essential. (You may have to enable Power Manager to always show in systray.) Then if you want more information look in Power Statisics which is reachable by right clicking on Power Manager icon or from the main menu.

Edit: Outside the topic. Hm, Southend on Sea outside London? I was there a long time ago. I loved it there.

Re: Laptop Battery.

If you can live without a GUI:

Quote:
# cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state
present: yes
capacity state: ok
charging state: charging
present rate: 2827 mW
remaining capacity: 50010 mWh
present voltage: 12567 mV
If you have more than one battery, change BAT0 accordingly.
