I downloaded F13 probably the day it was released ... I was so excited. Recently, I've been seriously challenged with installing the x86_64 version on one of my machines. It runs on Core 2 Duo processor @ 2.4Ghz, 320Hdd, Gigabyte X38-DQ6 motherboard, and 2Gb ram.
The same ISO image installed smoothly on my dell precision M6300 laptop, and another box (Gigabyte 8I945P Mobo, Pentium D, 2GbRAM). I have tried different partitioning schemes to avert the arising error message ... the installer usually fails when it encounters strange partitions (and Palimpsest fails more often these with F13, so I use gparted).
I still can't get the x86_64 to install. Strangely the i686 version installs okay on the same machine.
What is going on?
