Exclamation fedora 13 x86_64 Install fails

I downloaded F13 probably the day it was released ... I was so excited. Recently, I've been seriously challenged with installing the x86_64 version on one of my machines. It runs on Core 2 Duo processor @ 2.4Ghz, 320Hdd, Gigabyte X38-DQ6 motherboard, and 2Gb ram.

The same ISO image installed smoothly on my dell precision M6300 laptop, and another box (Gigabyte 8I945P Mobo, Pentium D, 2GbRAM). I have tried different partitioning schemes to avert the arising error message ... the installer usually fails when it encounters strange partitions (and Palimpsest fails more often these with F13, so I use gparted).

I still can't get the x86_64 to install. Strangely the i686 version installs okay on the same machine. What is going on?

Error message:
Code:
There was an error installing the live image to your hard drive. This could be due to bad media. Please verify your installation media. If you exit your system will be left in an inconsistent state that will require re-installation.

Re: fedora 13 x86_64 Install fails

Have you checked the media before installing and the MD5 of the DVD ISO?

md5sum hasn't been used in a long time for iso testing Fedora, it's sha256sum now

Re: fedora 13 x86_64 Install fails

There are problems booting f13 x86_64 on gigabyte motherboards:

I yum upgraded my system. If it is a first install you can make a minimal f12 x86_64 install and then upgrade via yum or preupgrade to f13.

Excuse me, I´m a newbie changing distribution now, the point is to check the media always in the way that´s done with fedora, I suppose that with fedora is done with the media testing during the installation process, I find it good, it let´s you trace also CD-DVD burning problems.
