    Lenovo T410 display dim

    Hi All,

I've got a Lenovo T410 with a nvm3100 nvidia card. i am using the nvidia driver from the rpmfusion repo.
Everything works fine but when on battery power the display cannot be dimmed with the normal dim buttons.
The screen is allways at max power, and battery is quickly emtpy.

anyone knows a fix for this?

    Solved it!
Add the following line in /etc/X11/org.conf

    Code:
    Option "RegistryDwords" "EnableBrightnessControl=1"
Add it in the "Device" section.

    so mine looks like:
    Code:
    Section "Device"
        Identifier "Videocard0"
        Driver "nvidia"
        Option "RegistryDwords" "EnableBrightnessControl=1"
    EndSection

    Re: Lenovo T410 display dim

xvattr might do it for you. Do some searches on xvattr and brightness.
