Acer Aspire 752

Hello!

I am just thinking about to buy a acer aspire 752, but I am not sure if Fedora would work on it.

But there is nothing about the 752.

Does anybody already have a 752 working with fedora ?

From my experience acer notebooks are mostly if not always low quality poorly designed notebooks. I think Asus is much better value for money. Anyway despite my anti acer (having owned 2 and worked on many) sentiment fedora should install without any problems on an aspire.

Edit: After reading the link you gave i would go with an asus netbook or notebook if like a bigger screen since they work out of the box.

I have an EEEPC1000HA and it works out of the box. Originally the EEEPC Netbooks had Linux pre-installed. Personally i don't like a small screen so i would never buy one again for myself.

Generally, wireless is a typical issue. The Atheros cards tend to work out of the box, but the Realtek ones don't. Acer and Asus both seem to use both.

I was considering the 1201 at one point, but found, (not only in Fedora) that people were having a good deal of difficulty with the wireless drivers at one point.

It looks like it might have the Atheros card, so you might be fine with it.

I prefer Asus, but from what I understand, the Acers have substantially improved since I last had one.
