Problem with FC2 second CD

I have a set of Fedora Core 2 CDs that I've used on 2 desktop machines. The ISOs are fine and both installations went smoothly.

However, I'm unable to use them for installing FC2 on my Dell Inspiron 8600 laptop. when Anaconda asks for the second CD, it has problems trying to mount it and displays the error: "The CDROM could not be mounted".

I successfully installed FC1 on this laptop and I just can't see what the problem might be in this case. (I've searched around and there was a similar problem reported about very old versions of Redhat but it was down to some BIOS setting to do with an old chipset i.e. not relevant in my case).

Any ideas anyone?

Hmm. I searched through all my BIOS settings and couldn't see anything relating to this. Any ideas?

Sometimes the installation doesn't mount the CD successfully the first time, try pressing "OK" (enter) a couple of times and see if this helps.
