[SOLVED] install Opera, Google Chrome/sound problem

Just downloaded Opera and Google Chrome to see how they installed. Both installs aborted saying they were lacking the same dependancy. Tried doing what instructions said from Google search, no luck.
Also having trouble with sound. Anything over about 15-20% on the sound bar icon fuzzes badly. Distortion is crazy. Any way to clear up?

Well....when I went to see what the depedancies were, I looked for the downloads in the "downloads" under "places." That's where I'm used to looking! But when they weren't there, i thought "What the heck? I'll just download them agian and rerun them. That way I'll see the dependancy screen."
So I downloaded them and reran them. And they INSTALLED! So I guess I can mark this half solved.

Hey! I just checked the sound-it works too. I guess I can mark it all the way solved.
Do you guys work with voodo?
