Re: fedora 13 alpha no ppc

I don't know if this is the best place to check. A quick google shows http://jwboyer.livejournal.com/33999.html

which doesn't give much help either.

Re: fedora 13 alpha no ppc

thank you for link. too much to look.

can you suggest one for me by following criteria?

- same way package managment as in fedora

what do i mean by that? i like how fedora put all scripts into rpm and do not allow to change it. fedora allow only to change /etc configs, but not a script. i love how fedora manage librarys, and packages.

so, as i know, by this criteria will fall:
- gento
- ubutnu
- freebsd

any other distro can mach/not mach?

Why should the people here do your work for you? You've been given a link to Distrowatch, now go find a distro that suits you.

Re: fedora 13 alpha no ppc

Fedora still supports PPC as a secondary arch. The Fedora devs interested in PPC would like to get an Alpha build out, but haven't been able to yet. They're certainly aiming to get at least an F13 final build out.

Re: fedora 13 alpha no ppc

In other words, as Adam has said, this is just an Alpha and there's only limited release versions at this time. PPC will be there for 'final', I'm sure, and hopefully for Beta, but we need to be patient.

As to the Distrowatch comments, if you're interested in Fedora, you're looking for cutting-edge software. Going to some other distro will probably be a step backward from F12, so why bother?

Re: fedora 13 alpha no ppc

pretty much the same as my previous comment. I'd recommend you follow the PPC list:

http://lists.infradead.org/mailman/listinfo/fedora-ppc

it's pretty quiet at present, though
