Really? When was the last time you heard someone refer to a Fedora release by codename as opposed to the last time you heard someone refer to an Ubuntu release by codename?
Besides, what does your personal opinion of any other distro have to do with my personal opinion that "Goddard" is a lame codename and "ROCK IT!" and even lamer slogan

Re: Fedora 13 Goddard ROCK IT!
Personally, I like the name Goddard for a new release of Fedora, after all... linux is rocket science! Ok, lame pun, but he did build the first liquid-fueled rocket. ROCK IT! is a pretty good play on words, imho.

What? With that tired old "Ubuntu's codename isn't any better" line? That's about as tired as the "The dev's don't monitor this forum" line.
It just seems like some people will take any opportunity whether it's relevant or not. We get it, you hate Ubuntu, though for some reason you think Mint is the greatest...
do0d?
But in any case, I'm done with drama, there's no need to derail a perfectly good thread. Later.

Oh, and Greg, please observe the Posting Rules and no "leet speak". ( Wow, it's been 4 years since anyone else used it. Talk about being behind the times.... ) Kidding.

Re: Fedora 13 Goddard ROCK IT!
Maybe we need a new poll: Codenames For Distros - Are They Lame? Regarding Fedora codenames, the reason we don't use them is that they're not abbreviatable. From the very beginning, and despite any inherent lameness, Ubuntu's alliterating code names were, and continue to be,abbreviatable. Conclusion: we need more complex, alliterating codenames for Fedora!

The dev's don't monitor this forum so any complains about the code-name and slogan will go unnoticed...

Re: Fedora 13 Goddard ROCK IT!
I'm off to suggest a new code name for the F14 to them. Rather than link to prior names, I think it's appropriate to tailor it to past and present user experiences.... Therefore " Oh, !*$*%*& !!! "
( hmmm...now why is our language censor treating PulseAudio as a swear word? )

Re: Fedora 13 Goddard ROCK IT!
I don't know of anybody I've heard refer to Fedora by its release name. Actually, other than Ubuntu and Apple I really don't hear anybody use the release names.
