F12/XFCE i686. I was changing some settings in pulseaudio while music was playing in moc (a console music player), settings that I had changed previously while music was playing without incident, when pulseaudio stopped dead in it's tracks.
I reinstalled everything pulseaudio* and ladspa*, rebooted, and still pulseaudio refuses to even start the dameon.
The pulseaudio manger app shows nothing enabled. My XFCE mixer app shows only "SB Audigy 2 ZS [SB0350] (Alsa mixer)" instead of the usual 4 choices for soundcard. Switching to root lets me do "pulseaudio --system", with a lot of warnings, but still no audio.Code:BASH:~/-> pulseaudio --start E: main.c: Daemon startup failed. BASH:~/-> pulseaudio E: module-ladspa-sink.c: Master sink not found E: module.c: Failed to load module "module-ladspa-sink" (argument: "sink_name=ladspa_output.mbeq_1197.mbeq master= plugin=mbeq_1197 label=mbeq control=3.0,3.0,7.3,7.0,3.0,-1.0,-6.6,-6.3,-4.5,-4.0,1.1,1.2,5.8,7.9,8.8"): initialization failed. E: main.c: Module load failed. E: main.c: Failed to initialize daemon BASH:~/-> locate module-ladspa-sink /usr/lib/pulse-0.9.21/modules/module-ladspa-sink.so.
I unistalled pulseaudio-equalizer along with it's two deps ladspa and ladspa-swh-plugins. No help. Any clues as to which config files to delete/rename for a fresh start with pulseaudio?
