hulu finally admits Linux 64bit problem but blames adobe

Hulu can't be played on your 64bit browser if you use the 64bit flash plugin.
I used to be able to play hulu with the 64bit plugin but then I think hulu changed some of their internal web code and broke it. They were mostly ignoring it but I think they finally got so much heat in their forums that they changed the failure message to blame adobe for it.

Then I found in the forums that some guy sent a bug notice to Adobe:

https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP-4067

telling adobe that hulu blames them.

Re: hulu finally admits Linux 64bit problem but blames adobe

Finally somebody's at least acknowledging a problem. Am I the only one who doesn't know and doesn't care whose fault it is? I just want it to work. Personally I'm inclined to blame Hulu. I don't have issues with 64-bit flash elsewhere, though Adobe isn't above reproach.

I've been using the 32bit plugin on the 64 bit Firefox and have very little problems.

You should buy a lottery ticket.

I'll stick with the 64 bit version, thank you. It works as well as the 32bit did when I ran 32bit linux, at least for me it does.

But I can run Hulu and don't ask me why cause I don't really know.

Thankfully I don't need hulu. All I know is a lot of people have problems in general running 32bit flash in 64bit linux.

As much as adobe devs are linux clueless, I think this is all Hulu, as hulu desktop works with 64bit flash. Yet, not in a browser? Just doesn't make sense, either flash works to stream vids for the site or it doesn't.

That's funny. I've been running 32 bit flash in 64 bit firefox since I installed F12. I watch youtube, hulu, crackle, and I play flash games on Facebook and Disney and Lego.com. So, I'm thinking some people don't know what they are doing when it comes to setting up their box. 64 bit Flash is still in pre-release format so it's bound to have at least some minor issues.

I don't know what I'm doing either so I put my trust in Autoten for setting up things. I don't think it's Hulu's fault. They do their best. Adobe was really nice in letting Linux folk try out the 64 bit version first. Improvements will come, especially if we give them some quality feedback.
