Firefox Bookmarks...again

Hello all, I really hope some out there has been having the same problem as me, and has found a way to fix it. The only way I can bookmark a page in Firefox is in
"Bookmarks Menu," and then manually move it to the proper folder. This happened before, and it was suggested to update sqlite, and create a new profile. I did all that. squite was reported to be the latest, and nothing worked. If I attempt to save a Bookmark in a folder, oe navigate to a folder, Firefox crashes. Is there a good fix for this? How about a stand alone Bookmark manager?

It would seem to me that, when you get to the "Bookmarks Menu" after clicking on "Bookmark This Page", you are overlooking that it has a drop down button on the right side with more choices. One of those choices is "Choose....", which lets you select any bookmarks folder you desire to save the bookmark in.

Tried that. Unable to "choose," the blued out folder stays there, and I am unable to move it via mouse, either. I didn't have this problem at first, and am careful with extensions and only use a few that I know well. I did install Google Chrome for my boys to use, and it imported the bookmarks from Firefox to itself. Don't see any real problem there, either. Thanks for the idea, anyone else?

What version of Firefox are you using? Have you tried to update it:

Found the problem! I had installed Google Chrome. Upon launching Chrome, it automatically imported my Firefox
Bookmarks. I removed Chrome, and it's folder, and problem solved. Anyone else have this problem?
