i want my system to "Do Nothing" when i close the lid

Hey i cant figure out how to get my system to Do nothing as windows puts it when i close the lid but i can only choose suspend hiberate aor shutdown. Also i am a 100% noob to linux i understand nothing about it but i am a savvvy computer guy so hopefully i can get some helps from you pros

Here is one method that should work. Edit /home/~/.Xmodmap (~ stands for your home directory) and I add the following:

keycode 235 =
To find the correct keycode for your system (it's might not be keycode 235), type xmodmap -pke from terminal and look for the keycode that has XF86Display associated with it.

I believe you have to reboot or logout/login for changes to take effect.

In a console type :

gconftool-2 --type string --set /apps/gnome-power-manager/buttons/lid_ac nothing
or install gconf-editor
Code:
yum install gconf-editor
access gconf-editor in GNOME via Applications > System Tools > Configuration Editor
and change the variable lid_ac.
