what is the necessary codecs for fedora 12 to play all type of audio and video files, avi,rm,wma....
and how to install them by yum?

I would recommend that you install easylife to automate the install of such things. It is a real time saver and works great.

Run this command from root to get enhanced audio and video support in applications that rely on xine backend:

Code:

yum install xine-lib-extras-freeworld

or alternatively you could just install vlc media player which handles all the codecs
