Fedora Can't Install Upgrades

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but...well, I just installed Fedora after using Ubuntu for a while, and everything has been going good, except for installing upgrades. When I open the Update Manager, it says there is 399 updates. When I click install, after about ten seconds this pops up:

An internal system error has occured

A problem we were not expected has occured. 
Please report this bug in your distribution bugtracker wth the error description.

I have no idea what that means, or how to fix it. Help?

Okay, thanks.

I have two other questions now: one, how do I ugprade to Firefox 3.6, and two, does Fedora have a software center or anything similar? I can't find one in the menu....

There is add / remove packages in the menu. For non Fedora things like codecs and proprietary drivers etc you need RPMFusion. See the installation guide in my signature.

I remember the first time I installed FC12 I had the same thing: hundreds of pending updates after it all installed. And my attempt to update generated errors.

For other reasons, I had to reinstall FC12. When I did, I made sure I checked the other repo boxes available during the installation (everything except the "test" repo) and then after the smooth install, there were very few updates (less than 10) and I got no subsequent update errors.
