Stopping Unwanted services/process

I am using Fedora12 with latest update, and am using kde4.3.4.

To decrease the memory consumption on one of my system I disabled many services presently only following services are running:
NetworkManager
abrtd
acpid
akmods
atd
auditd
cpuspeed
crond
gpm
haldaemon
iptables
irqbalance
messagebus
rsyslog
sendmail
sysstat
udev-post
xinetd

Now I want to stop some default running process like modem-manager, seapplet, ksmserver, krunner and sometime knotify4. I could not locate the initiation point of these services. So that I can manage (start/stop) these services.

regards.

AFAIK, modem-manager is started by NetworkManager and the others are parts of the KDE desktop.

My favorite guide to services is here
http://www.mjmwired.net/resources/mjm-services-f12.html

Some KDE services are in System Settings -> Advanced User settings -> Service Manager
Have you looked there?

I searched in service manager of kde advanced system settings. but Krunner is not there. How to stop Krunner any config file? Is it must run service for using KDE?
