Have to manually start pppoe for every session

Every time I want to connect to the internet, I have to manually start pppoe. If I disconnect while the pppoe link is up and then connect, it doesn't get connected to the internet. I have to stop pppoe and the start it again to connect.

Is there a way to simply connect without having to manually start and stop pppoe??? Can pppoe be configured to run at boot time?
