I downloaded the Fedora-12-i686-Live-KDE.iso and validated at the Windows Command Prompt:
sha256sum.exe Fedora-12-i686-Live-KDE.iso
1bb64a4eedecf4730b47fcbb6c17b49d6deaccf7b00b17dd7b 1091af57cf1c1e *Fedora-12-i686-Live-KDE.iso
Then I burned the cd with the "Burn image option".
The cd boot with a blue screen with white image which looks like lemon or balloon.
Then this error screen appear:
mount: /dev/loop2: can't read superblock
/squashfs/LiveOS/ext3fs.img: No such file or directory
umount: /squashfs: not mounted
mount: unknown filesystem type 'DM_snapshot_cow'
mount: unknown filesystem type 'DM_snapshot_cow'
mount: unknown filesystem type 'DM_snapshot_cow'
...
Can't mount root filesystem
Boot has failed, sleeping forever.
The computer is Acer Aspire computer M3100 (AM3100-UD5200A. AMD Athlon64 x2).
The same CD fails on Acer Aspire computers M3202 (AMD Athlon II X3 triple-core processor) and X1800 (AX1800-E9232. Intel Core2 Quad Processor Q8200).
I had burned three CDs.
The three computers all run Windows ok so hardware is not the problem.
I installed and run Ubuntu 8.04 on M3202 successfully.
BTW, the kubuntu 9.10 CD works on Acer M3202 and M3100 but not X1800.
The System Rescue CD 1.3.4 does not work on Acer M3202 and X1800 but works correctly on M3100.
