Unhappy Cant enable wireless (Intel 5100)

I have been trying for three days to figure out why I cant enable wireless.

When I goto network connections I see:

wlano and i cannot activate it, the activate button is blanked out

Can anyone please help at least put me in the right direction

Start with

lspci

Somewhere in the last three or four lines it should give your wireless card. Post that, and perhaps someone can help.

Ok, that's your wireless card. I'm not familiar with that particular card, but I'll change the thread title in the hope that someone who knows about that card will see it.

I can't even enable wireless, the wireless worked with fedora 10
