Can't reboot FC12 on 2009 Mac Mini

I just got a FC12 installed on a new Mac Mini and can't seem to get the thing to reboot.

After issuing a 'shutdown -r now' the system goes away, but never comes back - don't even get the familiar bong sound when it powers on.

Searches elsewhere showed this was an issue with some kernels earlier this year, but even with the fully updated FC12 system I'm still hanging - has anyone else seen this issue or worked around it?

I'm in the same boat here. Been working on this one throughout the day. i'll update if I find anything.
