notification area detached from the Panel

I am using Fedora 11 Gnome Desktop Env

Heres the Desktop screenshot attached.

screenshot 2

The problem is that the Notification Area is'nt at the default place.

heres what i did before it all happened.

1) Cairo dock--->configure--->Desktop---systray (checkbox enabled)

it asked me to detached it from dock for more efficient use ...

2)after that ..the notification area shifted to the top left corner just below the panel.but not in the panel)

3) i tried --->right clicked in the upper right corner ---> add to panel--->Notification area

only an empty notification area came.

4) then i deselected the notification are from caio dock and the notification area (original that was ditached and got placed on top left below the panel) was removed

and again i followed the same steps 3... but o luck.again an empty one.

5) i tried to right click the notification area(original 1) but useless...

so how do i revert back to my old state (without updating the gnome panel)

please help. its troublesome when things doesnt work your way.

Not sure if these will actually work but, try unchecking the detach thing (to unlock things) & "drag & dropping" the stuff back on the bar. I think if you hit the right area, it should go as one unit. Most detachable things do. (it may only go 1 at a time) Or let it create the new area & drag the items in one by one, if the first way doesn't work

screenshot..problem sled i guess..

but the compiz fusion icon wud never appear in the notification area...
(well although its not related to this post...how do we add items in there...no space to make a right click in the notification area...it simply highlights the icons that r already there.

i asked this becoz i want to have ma compiz icon there...

heres my screen shot..after a restart..and the notification area shifted to its original place when i clicked "ok" for "try to steal notification area"..

i guess the problem is to be considered as solved 1....anywa..

screenshot..(notification area in usual place..back again)

To be honest, your DT is to "busy" (& MAC-ish) for me to tell anything.

I don't use compiz so not sure how it would act. But there MAY be something that adds the icon in it's preferences.
