Thumbs down HP Printer LaserJet 1020

Dear All,
I am very new with Fedora & Linux but i have used OpenSolaris which was working fine but when i saw the Fedora capablities then i decided to go for it. I installed it successfully & running normally but however i am facing a problem related to HP Printers- I have installed this OS in my office where all printers are HP LaserJet 1020 but when i go to add it via "Windows Printer Via Samba" till here it is working normally and added printer success fully but when i choose the correct Model Dirver it shows me "hp laserjet 1020, hpcups 3.9.8, requires proprietary plugin (en)" anyway i added my pritner but no luck. it is not working anyway i searched on Internet but hardluck not found anything. When i give some print to the printer it gives me some error

1020-8 Test Page root 1k Unknown stopped
"/usr/lib/cups/filter/hpcups failed"

Kidly help me to resolve this issue & plz provide me the in steps bcz i am new so i have no idea to much about Fedora. Others printers are working fine.

I think the HP 1020 is a Windows only device.
There have been several post about it over the years.
I must be very old, too.

I am not familiar with your printer, but according to HPLIP, it should work under Fedora (at least F11). You need to install the software, which is in the Fedora repositories.
