Lightbulb Smilie Pack and Theme Update

Hi,

I don't know if I'm stepping on toes, but it sure would be nice to get a more modern theme to our forum. I don't know about you, but I love going to other forums that looks really sleek and modern (I prefer PHPBB 3.x look).

I'd like to know if I can get on the forum team to help move things along or if the team can start to implement little things here and there to keep this forum live. It's active, no doubt, but live is another thing.

One can start by replacing the dated smilies used on this forum. It's very easy to do, here are some links to some examples. Thanks for your feedback on mine:

I'm sorry, but currently we aren't looking for any new staff member. Just wanting to help the forum look "prettier" does not qualify to be a staff member.

Any suggestions about living-up the forum can be made directly to Leigh123linux, Dan, or Bob. Our Admins.

What do you mean by "... keep this forum live ...". To me, this is not a question of visual appeal.

Thanks, I'll contact those guys. I guess I should have worded it better than that. I was just offering help if no one wanted to do it. I know making the forum "prettier" isn't a task - serious Linux admins want to do.

From this I take it that I have to write my thoughts down better and not expect people to understand or interpret what I'm feelin'. Personally; I like to revisit a web site that looks great, modern, whatever. This forum is very functional, but it's not something I'd like to make my home page. If it had another theme that was eye-poping then I'd be on this thing on a daily basis... just looking for threads to post in.

What I'd like to offer is an opportunity to "update" the look of the forum, that's all. And again, I'm assuming the admins of this forum don't want to waste time making it look pretty. I offer my services, if needed.
