What module do I need to load

I was experimenting with getting 3d support to work with my radeon 9000 and my custom kernel (2.6.8) and I got this strange error as I tried to load the module something to the effect of I need to load the firegl module before loading any other drm module. Exactly which module do I need to load before I try this again?
