Installation just completed, and all looks good here.

How Low of a system will it run on (reasonably)? Is this something for a Pentium I or II system?

I think it needs to be at least i686 compatible computer, which might be something like AMD K6-II.

What he said (IIRC, i686 = PII/Pro/Celeron or better, and F12 offers only i686). As far as other PC specs, see: http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showpo...89&postcount=2
F12 LXDE x86 Live booted (but not installed yet) on that box. Runs OK (a little slow due to small RAM, but I expect that to improve upon install).

Darn. I was looking to see if it would work on a Pentium I w/MMX running @ 233 MHz.

I'm just now installing it on a PIII. Got some installation bug alert. Not sure what's up with that.

Not working. Not sure what it is. Don't really want to mess with it. Installing OpenSolaris. Wanted server system any way, not something I always have to work on.
Edit Again:
You guys are going to think I'm weird, but I'm giving a try again now that I had time. I follow Scott's Note, here, to manually change my install protocall. Pretty sure this is going to work.

Any chance of a jigdo download becoming available? I am comparing different live cds for my netbook and don't really want to keep downloading the same packages. Jigdo would seem ideal for me.
I can't install this version of Fedora on my little system. It gets all the way through to the post install set-up and then coughs up a bug that has something to do with copying something to some. The live-cd can't save the bug report for some reason so it's just gone. Could just be my hardware set-up on this system...it's an old Asus Board PIII with almost 800 meg processor and just under 600 m of ram. I'm installing on a 40 g hd. Who knows what the deal is. I was hoping to use the system for a server. I'll keep messing with it.
Can you please give me a little more information? Are you sure the download is correct? Did you verify the CD before you burned it?
I'm pretty sure that it has nothing to do with your machine, it is fast and big enough. However if you want a server then you are better off doing a custom install with just the stuff you need.
