Unhappy Starting and shut down problems.

Hey,
I installed Fedora 12 64 bit to my PC two days ago but now i have 2 problems. My macine wont shut down stayed on a black screen with few lines written on it and it keeps freezing on start-up (just shows me a half full logo on a blue screen and wont move).

I am a complete new for this, I have used some older Fedora versions ta work before but haven't had that kind of problems before.

Can anyone have any ideas?

Please help.
