Encrypted Disk Boot

I just installed fedora 12, I activated disk encryption and in first boot there was a very plain screen, black empty screen, just a plain writing of "/dev/sda* is encrypted" or something like this.I screwed the system up and reinstalled fedora but at the next time there was a gui asking me for disk password.

I have 3 curious roommates and I discovered something.When the plain black screen asks for password they just shut the computer down an leave.But when eye candy gui asks for password they try to guess for few times.

So how can I restore that simple black screen with complex psychological effects

Hi,

The "black screen" appears when your system boots in text mode. To force it, add the word "nomodeset" as last parameter to your boot command in grub.conf. You will also lose the neat graphical boot and be presented with a WindowsNT-style progress bar instead.
