Installing netbeans 4.1

Hi all
I'm trying to install netbeans 4.1 (outdated I know but I need it for an OpenUniversity course) on Fedora 11 I have downloaded netbeans-4_1-linux.bin and attempted to install it (as root) ./netbeans-4_1-linux.bin but it meditates for a second or to then tells me : "The wizard cannot continue because of the following error: could not load wizard specified in /wizard.inf (104)".
I have openjdk installed is this the problem? do I need the genuine Sun item? any suggestions gratefully received
Pete
