up2date is bugging me with questions about packages

hi
got core 1.91 installad last weeks
no up2date is warning me that 400 updates are avaliable, when I start the update process it asks me all 2 seconds
"The package xxxx is signed with an unknown GPG signature. Continue?"
and thats not really funny so i wont spend all day to klick "yes"
Does anyone know how to make updates without this questions or so?
thx

use yum.

go to a terminal, become root with "su", and say "yum upgrade". Then, sit back and smile as it does its stuff. As a semi-new linux user, that was one of the first things I routinely used a console for.

or you could import the GPG signature...download it from fedora's website, then

rpm --import file.gpg

I would agree that you should use yum update. However, just as a future reference, the argument -f in the terminal means "force", or essentially "yes-to-all." So check the man pages first on what command you are using, but chances are if you find yourself typing 'y' > 'ENTER' a lot, the force option can be used to avoid it.

If he's using livna he will need to import that key as well. The actual procedure is pretty well documented here: http://www.fedorafaq.org/#gpgsig

up2date is supposed to download the PGP key when you finish configuring it (right click the icon). if you didn't configure it before using it then that's probably what was the problem.

PS - bookmark that fedorafaq link. it should be every new users homepage.
