I recently updated to kernel 2.6.30.9-90.fc11.i586 and now for some reason I cannot use my wifi dongle as an ad-hoc access point. I have a Belkin F5D7050 b/g usb wifi dongle that was giving me no issues before the kernel upgrade. I use the connection so I can beam my (cheap

) mobile broadband connection to my mobile phone to avoid paying the ridiculous data costs that my mobile operator charges. (Yes I know that using a mobile device to wifi a mobile connection to a mobile device is a roundabout way of doing things but hey, it did work

) Unfortunately now when I plug in the dongle instead of saying I am now connected to xx it does nothing. In the box that comes after clicking the network manager icon the network does not even show up. I have tried deleting and re-creating the network but to no avail. Also now when I try creating an ad-hoc network with encryption that fails, as does all types of infrastructure network. I am guessing this is a kernel issue but cannot find any upstream bugs saying such. Any ideas as to how I can get back up and running? If all else fails I could roll back to a previous kernel but I like being at the (near) cutting edge! Any help would be appreciated.
