reboot

when you see the fedora 3 sec boot option, push any key and choose an older kernel.
after logging in one time reboot normally.

If you still get this message you may have used an usb or flashcard with more than 3 gigabits.

I had that problem 3 times now. Each time after moving big dater from and to a flash medium.

F10 will be obsolete in a few weeks.
Backup data and install F11 or F12 when it's released.
Meanwhile try
Code:
su
yum update --enablerepo=u*g

Question Similar Kernel failure

I am experiencing a similar kernel failure with F9 (2.6.27.25-78.2.56.fc9.i686).

I have seen it using two different LiveUSB flash devices a (2GB scandisk and a 4GB HP125W), and I also seen it after installing to hard drive, completing configuration and booting from hard drive.

Everything seems to work fine so I'm not sure what to make of this.

I have attached the error messge

Any recommendations?

Hi,

Fedora 9 has reached End of Life and won't get any updates anymore. Best would be move to Fedora 12 when it is released shortly.

Thanks for that info. I did not realize F9 was EOL.

I am using Fedora 9 to create a liveUSB image for a custom application. I only run my app then shutdown. Othewise, none of the Gnome Desktop Evn is used.

I investigated migrating to F11 but none of the customizations that I have to add to kickstart files to create the customized liveUSB image for my app worked and I'm not sure why.

Since this does not impact to my application I would like to know how I can disable this message to prevent it from being displayed. So is it possible that you can answer one last question and tell me how to do this?
