permission in fedora 11 in KDE enviroment

Hello dears

i've installed the fedora 11 and i had to create a user ( for example "baby") now every i want to login in KDE enviroment i should use that use that i created(baby) and i can't use root user!!!
but when i want to install or go to sensetive directory i should retype the baby pwd ,( i can't create a foldre on the desktop or change icons) now how can i login with root account ?
