Fedora 12 couldn't get up after suspend.

Hi everyone!

I'm using DELL Latitude D830 right now.I tried suspend when I had to leave my computer today. After I come back,I pushed the power button, and nothing happened except the flashing screen. What I had to do is push the power button again to turn off my computer. The suspend works pretty well in Fedora 11.

What I should do now?

Hi,

What version of the kernel? Make sure you have all the updates. The latest kernel is at

This may or may not help, because my laptop is running Fedora 7 -- but I found a work-around for my suspend issues, ymmv.

When it comes up, it's a blank screen -- then I alt-F4 (or whatever F key you want) to get to a terminal, and the screen has lines and is unreadable. Then, if I alt-F7; it takes me to my working desktop! On F11 and 12, I notice (at least on my desktop computer?) that alt-F1 is the key to get back to a desktop, instead of F7, that might make a difference. Hibernate on my laptop (ibm thinkpad 600x) seems to work fine, suspend is goofy though.

Might want to try it, see if that works...
