My built-in webcam(Syntek DC-1125) is down after upgrading to Fedora 12. That's basically the reason why i purchased the Logitech Webcam C200 from Amazon on 15 pounds.
Perfectly working on Fedora 12.
The image quality is much better than Syntek DC-1125 as i excepted. What's more is the built-in snapshot button and microphone. They both work without any hassle.
The built-in snapshot button can only be invoked under Cheese. The deference from click the button in Cheese is that no countdown timer. So it is nice to have an instant snapshot using the snapshot button on C200.
The built-in microphone works as well. The only thing i need to do is change the input device in gnome-volume-control applet. PulseAudio makes it easy to switch between different input device. One click is enough.
Above all, i would recommend Logitech C200 to someone who has a Fedora box. All the features work under Fedora as well as the officially supported platforms, even better because of no drive installation required.
Cheers,
