Where to download kernel's manually?

Where can I go to download new kernels for fc3t2 manually? I just reformatted and did a clean install and now I cant seem to get yum or up2date to understand that I want to use 2.6.8-1.590 instead of 2.6.8-1.541 and its really getting on my nerves. Also after installing the kernel manually how do I add it to the bootloader, I also need to make sure I have the source code as well. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

You could always try manually surfing to the location where you think the kernels are to check. I'm also guessing that your yum.conf contains lines with the following in:

$releasever/$basearch/os

These make Yum automatically fill in the urls according to the spec of your machine, so if your running fc2 on an i686 it'll make Yum look in the 2/i686/os folder for the RPMs. Since its a test release teres a good chance that the folder your after automatically will not exist. You could change it to look in the FC2 folders although Idon't recommend this.

On a side note however, why do you want to change the kernel? If the original kernel is the one which came with FC3T2 then you should stick with it as it is obviously the one intended for testing and reporting on in the Bugzilla.

Test releases are for testing Fedora Core. Don't replace core elements, if you do, your testing is worthless. Please understand, test releases exist for one reason, so that the hordes of users can help development by testing the software and reporting bugs.

If you don't want to help in testing, don't use the test release.

Well there is a continuing problem with Fedora not properly detecting my Keyboard I am essentially in a "Boot and Pray" situation. The thing constantly wants to disable IRQ #11 (I suspect it was always doing this with Fc2 but Fc3 actually tells me this time around.) now with .590 I have noticed a dramatic improvement with Fedora's behavior with my Keyboard that is why I want to change the Kernel. I would file a bug report if I could figure out what component is at fault here or if there was something on bugzilla to actually report bugs for which one does not know the componwnt that is broken. I used to think it was Kudzu but the error appears to occur before Kudzu ever executes...so I am totally lost now.

Do you have any idea how annoying it is to have to reboot two some times even 5 or more times before the things decides to like my Keyboard and let me actually USE the system?

I would appreciate it if you refrain from ever lecturing me again about the usefulness of my testing Fedora Core if you are not going to either give me the information I need or point me to a possible method to obtain the results I desire.

Basically yes. BUT I suggest you figure out how to file a bugzilla, it sounds quite important.
